Celebrating a Systems Thinker Who Builds Community Through Food 🌱💚
Huge congratulations to our Co-Founder, Nichole Dube, for being honored at Homegrown Hillsborough 1st Annual Conference with the Systems Thinker Award — recognizing leaders who see the whole system, connect the dots others miss, and turn collaboration into community impact.
If you’ve ever worked alongside Nichole, you know this isn’t just an award… It’s an accurate description of how she operates every single day.
Nichole understands something fundamental:
Food is not a standalone issue.
It is inseparable from health, housing, education, economic opportunity, disaster resilience, and the dignity every family deserves.
Nichole brings a systems-first approach to everything she leads at Access to Fresh. She forges cross-sector partnerships, aligns our Community Resilience Food Hub with county, state, and federal priorities, and elevates the Bounty Bus into a true community engagement platform — integrating food access, education, wraparound services, and our emerging Food-is-Medicine initiatives.
Nichole doesn’t just think in systems.
She builds them.
She connects them.
And most importantly, she ensures they serve the people who need them most.
We’re incredibly proud to see her recognized for the kind of leadership that strengthens communities from the ground up.
Congratulations, Nichole — and thank you for showing what’s possible when strategy meets heart. 💚🌱
