🌱 National Farm to School Month Is Ending. We’re Just Getting Started!
As October comes to a close, we’re excited to share some good news!
Access to Fresh has received new funding to support the farm-to-school component of #PickedInPasco, our growing initiative connecting local farmers with schools, families, and communities through fresh, locally grown food, hands-on education, and experiences that strengthen our regional food system.
We believe farm-to-school is about more than getting fresh food onto cafeteria trays. It’s about helping children discover where their food comes from, creating dependable markets for local growers, and building healthier, more resilient communities.
And we’re excited to have a new business partner stepping up to invest in that vision! 💚
The photo we’re sharing is from Shady Oaks Farm, a family-owned artisanal farm in Dade City. A special thank-you to Alicen Morency, Co-Owner of Shady Oaks, for their ongoing support and commitment to growing fresh food for our community. Local farm partnerships like this are essential to making Picked in Pasco possible.
Stay tuned! In the coming days, we’ll introduce our newest business partner and share more about how their investment will help us connect Pasco County farms, students, and schools.
Interested in being part of the journey? We’d love to connect!
