Happy Thanksgiving from Access to Fresh 2025

As we head into Thanksgiving, we’re reminded that resilience doesn’t begin in a boardroom or a policy meeting—it begins in the soil, in the hands of our farmers, and in the quiet, everyday choices of people who believe a stronger community is possible.

There’s a quote that we love that feels especially true for this moment:

“You must be the change you want to see in the world.” —Gandhi

The photo below was shared by Nichole Dube after a visit to the Boys & Girls Club of Lacoochee in Dade City. It’s a simple reminder that change doesn’t need a big stage. Change grows where kids and dedicated partners come together with purpose.

This season, we’re grateful for every partner, volunteer, grower, health leader, storyteller, and neighbor who embodies that message—not in theory, but in action.

We build community through food when:

  • Local farmers plant one more row to feed families they’ll never meet
  • Partners show up with heart and solutions
  • Educators spark curiosity in the next generation
  • Families trust us to walk alongside them toward better health and access
  • Our team rolls up their sleeves, pivots when needed, and stays rooted in purpose

To our Access to Fresh community we say:

Thank you for helping build a more connected, more resilient food system—one that lifts our farmers, nourishes our families, and strengthens every neighborhood it touches.

This work is possible because you keep choosing to be the change.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Access to Fresh. 💚
